Katie Arnett Fifth Grade Teacher

Mrs.  Arnett graduated from Northern Kentucky University in 1999 where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and in 2004 her Master of Education.  Mrs. Arnett has been teaching at St. Thomas for 24 years. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family and read.

Alexa Baudendistel Junior High Math & Social Studies

Mrs. Alexa Baudendistel is the Junior High Math & Social Studies teacher. Mrs. Baudendistel holds a Bachelor degree in Middle School Education from Thomas More College. She graduated in May 2017 with her Masters degree from Georgetown College in Teacher Leadership and Technology. This is her tenth year as an educator.  She is a parishioner of Saint Thomas, an alum of the school, and loves giving back to the Tomcats by teaching and coaching. In her spare time, Mrs. B is probably found scrolling through Pinterest, competing in beach volleyball tournaments, or hanging with her family.

 

Debbie Eberhart Pre-School Assistant

Mrs. Eberhart has a Bachelor’s degree from Thomas More University and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Kentucky. She has been a preschool teacher’s aide for 8 years. She lives with her husband of 20+ years and has 3 children who have enjoyed the St. Thomas education. She loves to read, cook, watch soccer, and learn new things about preschool-age children.

Emily Wagner

Mrs. Wagner is entering her second year as Office Manager and Assistant to the Principal. She has a Bachelor's in Organizational Leadership from the University of Cincinnati. She and her husband have a blended family with 3 girls and 2 boys. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, watching sports (Go Xavier), and playing soccer.

George Everett Religion Teacher

Mr. George Everett is our religion teacher. He is in his second year at Saint Thomas School!

Lois Goforth Cafeteria Assistant

Lois has worked in the Saint Thomas kitchen for more than 20 years. She works for the love of the children she serves as well as the dedication she has toward Catholic education. Her husband and four children are all Saint Thomas graduates. Lois seems to be the only family member who hasn't managed to find her way out.

Elizabeth Gruenschlaeger Technology Coordinator

Elizabeth received her Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Northern Kentucky University in 2016. She is a lifelong parishioner of Saint Thomas and graduated from Saint Thomas in 2008. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time with family.

Robin Holtz Fourth Grade Teacher

Mrs. Holtz graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Arts in Education. She received her Master of Education from Northern Kentucky University. Mrs. Holtz is a veteran teacher of 25 years and is currently in her 22nd year at Saint Thomas. She loves spending time with her family. In her spare time, she also enjoys reading and playing volleyball.

Mrs. Kim Huser is in her second year at Saint Thomas School as Principal!

Fr. Ross Kelsch is Pastor of Saint Thomas Parish.

Timothy Markey Music Instructor

Mr. Markey is in his sixth year at Saint Thomas School. He lives in Union, KY with his wife Jodie, daughter Lydia Emily Jean and son Luke Timothy Paul. Mr. Markey attended the University of Kentucky for his Bachelor’s of Music Education and Asbury University for his Master’s of Special Education. His main instrument is trumpet and he performs for weddings, social events and is a volunteer bugler for the Buglers Across America. Orff-Schulwerk music teaching techniques, songs, recorders, and instruments are used in his music class on a regular basis.

Michele McKee Cafeteria Manager

Michele has been at Saint Thomas for 6 years. She is married, has two boys and a sweet, black cat named Zoe. Michele loves to cook, bake and cherish every moment spent with family.

Karly Meyer Kindergarten Teacher

Mrs. Meyer graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a Master's of Education. She has been in the classroom for 18 years, 11 of them at Saint Thomas. She is a lifelong member of the Saint Thomas Parish and even graduated from Saint Thomas School. It has been her lifelong dream to become a teacher at the school and give back to the parish community. She and her husband Chris have been blessed with four sons and one daughter. She enjoys spending her free time with her family.

Lynda Myers Science/Computer

Mrs. Myers attended the University of Kentucky (BS in Management Dietetics), Cincinnati State (computer programming courses), and Northern Kentucky University (Masters in Education) in the areas of elementary education and middle grades math and science. Prior to entering into the teaching field, she worked with computers for 12 years, 6 of those as a programmer.
She has been in the education field since December 2004, substitute teaching in several different area schools, and teaching Junior High science, math, language arts, and math intervention for 1st & 2nd grades.

Tiffany Noe Kindergarten Aide

This is Mrs. Tiffany Noe's second year as Kindergarten Aide at Saint Thomas School! Mrs. Noe enjoys spending time with her family and camping in her free time.

Adam Schmidt Art Teacher

Mr. Schmidt is a graduate of NKU where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Education and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in Sculpture. This is Mr. Schmidt's 6th year as the K-8 Art teacher at Saint Thomas School. He also teaches part-time at two other diocesan schools throughout the week. When he is not teaching, you will find him woodworking, landscaping, or cooking. Mr. Schmidt and his wife welcomed their first child in 2022.

Kristen Minge First Grade Teacher

Mrs. Minge has a Master of Education degree from Xavier University with minors in English and Biology from Thomas More College. She took American Sign Language from Cincinnati State and enjoys incorporating this into her First Grade curriculum. This is Mrs. Minge's 14th year working at Saint Thomas. She enjoys spending time with her nephew Glenn, her family, and of course, her golden retrievers. Mrs. Minge loves cooking and baking, she also enjoys swimming, paddle boarding, painting, sewing, and boating.

Lexi Sheets Multi-Tiered Educational Support

Mrs. Sheets received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Louisville and her Masters in Education from the University of Kentucky.  She received her K-12 Endorsement for Teaching Gifted Education from Northern Kentucky University in 2021 and has completed the Level 1 Orton-Gillingham Basic Language Course. Prior to Saint Thomas, Mrs. Sheets taught middle school science and special education in Lexington, KY, and adult education at the Newport Adult Education Center.  This is her eighth year at Saint Thomas School.  When not at school, Mrs. Sheets enjoys running, hiking, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Molly Simons Second Grade Teacher

Mrs. Simons holds Bachelor and Master degrees in Elementary Education from Northern Kentucky University.  She has taught for 30 years, with 23 of those years at Saint Thomas.  Mrs. Simons has been a life-long member of Saint Thomas and graduated from here. She very much enjoys preparing the 2nd-graders for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion. Mrs. Simons enjoys playing volleyball, reading and running.  She spends much of her free time with her two children as they play sports and participate in activities.

Sandy VanHandorf Reading Specialist

Mrs. VonHandorf holds a Bachelors in Elementary Education from Morehead State University, She has a Masters of Education with an Area of Concentration in Reading from Northern KY University. This is her third year working with students at Saint Thomas, She has been teaching for 33 years.  She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Jocelyn Vargas Spanish Teacher

This is Ms. Jocelyn Vargas' second year as Spanish Teacher at Saint Thomas School!

Lily Geswein Third Grade Teacher

Mrs. Lily Geswein is the third-grade homeroom teacher. Mrs. Geswein received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from NKU. This is her third year teaching and her third year at Saint Thomas. She is so happy to be a part of this amazing school community! In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family. Mrs. Geswein also has a love for Books, Rainbow Organization and Technology.

Kim Weyer Pre-School Director

Mrs. Weyer holds a Bachelor's degree in Child and Family Studies from Eastern Kentucky University and has completed her Kentucky Director’s Credential. She started Saint Thomas Preschool in 1994 and during her 29 years at Saint Thomas Preschool, the program has grown to four classes (Two Pre-K classes, a 4-year-old class and a 3-year-old class); which have earned a 5-Star rating from the state of Kentucky! Ms. Kim enjoys spending her free time with her husband, 4 children, dog and one-year-old grand daughter!

B.A. Williams P.E. Teacher

Retired USAF Master Sergeant B A Williams is the Physical Education teacher. Sarge (as the students refer to him) holds a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Northern Kentucky University. He retired from the Air Force in 2014 after approximately 20 years.  He was an Instructor Loadmaster on C-130 E/H (Hercules) aircraft.  B A moved on to Special Operations aircraft for his last four years as an MC-130H (Combat Talon II) Loadmaster.  B A decided he wanted to serve the local community by becoming a teacher and being a positive role model for our youth; he graduated in 2020.  This is his second year of teaching at Saint Thomas and he looks forward to promoting a lifetime of physical activity for the Tomcats. In his spare time, B A plays Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Pickleball and participates in Zumba classes.
