Mr. George Everett joined the Faculty at Saint Thomas School during the 2020-2021 school year as Religion Teacher.
Mr. Markey is in his fifth year at Saint Thomas School. He lives in Union, KY with his wife Jodie, daughter Lydia Emily Jean and son Luke Timothy Paul. Mr. Markey attended the University of Kentucky for his Bachelor’s of Music Education and Asbury University for his Master’s of Special Education. His main instrument is trumpet and he performs for weddings, social events and is a volunteer bugler for the Buglers Across America. Orff-Schulwerk music teaching techniques, songs, recorders, and instruments are used in his music class on a regular basis.
This is Mr. Kevin McIntyre's first year of teaching PE at St. Thomas. Prior to that, he was the PE teacher at Walton-Verona Elementary School for 32 years. Mr. McIntyre is a graduate of Morehead State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education. He then went on to receive his Master's in Education from Northern Kentucky University, where he met his future wife. Mr. McIntyre has also been a high school baseball coach for 27 years. When he is not teaching or coaching, he works for the Cincinnati Reds on the grounds crew, helping to take care of the baseball field at Great American Ball Park. He and his wife Janet have been married for 34 years and have two adult sons named Justin and Jacob, plus a dog they rescued named Dixie. They are members of St. Henry Church, where they both also serve as Eucharistic ministers. In his spare time, Mr. McIntyre enjoys traveling, biking and weightlifting, plus cheering on the Reds, Bengals and Kentucky Wildcats.
Mrs. Stephanie Osterhage joined the Faculty of Saint Thomas School during the 2020-2021 school year. She graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies and Psychology, then went on to get her Master of Arts in School Counseling from Northern Kentucky University. Mrs. O is a native of Ft. Thomas, but lived in Washington D.C., where she was a School Counselor for 3 years. She loves spending time with her 2 toddlers, husband and dog, Stella. Most days, you can find Mrs. O outside enjoying sports and nature!
Mr. Schmidt is a graduate of NKU where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Education and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in Sculpture. This is Mr. Schmidt's 5th year as the K-8 Art teacher at Saint Thomas School. He also teaches part time at two other diocesan schools throughout the week. When he is not teaching, you will find him woodworking, landscaping, or cooking. Mr. Schmidt and his wife will be welcoming their first child in February!
